Hey there!
I totally get how frustrating it can be when images don’t display just right on your website. Let’s sort this out so your site looks snazzy again!
- Theme-Specific Dimensions: Each WordPress.com theme has its own ideal image dimensions. Check your theme’s documentation (usually found under ‘Appearance’ > ‘Themes’ > ‘Info’ for your active theme) for recommended image sizes.
- General Tips:
- Larger Images: It’s usually better to upload images that are a bit larger than needed. WordPress can scale them down as necessary.
- Aspect Ratio: Pay attention to the aspect ratio (the ratio of width to height). Keeping your images in the right aspect ratio helps prevent unwanted cropping.
- Customizing with CSS: If you’re comfortable with CSS and have a plan that allows custom CSS (Premium or higher), you can tweak how images are displayed.
- Editing Tools: WordPress.com has some basic image editing tools (like cropping and scaling) that you can access from the Media Library.
- Theme Support: If you’re still stuck, reach out to the theme’s support or check out the WordPress.com support forums for more tailored advice.
Remember, each theme is a bit different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, but starting with the theme’s recommended image sizes is a solid bet.
Hope this helps you get those images looking just perfect! If you need more specific help, feel free to share more details about your theme or the types of images you’re working with. Happy blogging! 🌟
