slider background not in sync with slider

    we had a developer design our site for us, and it works fine on his development site, but when we put it on our own server (and went live with the site) some features didn’t work properly.

    namely:

    our homepage features a sliding gallery, and originally the background was set to be the same sliding gallery (so the slider and background all rotated at the same time, with the same picture).

    however, when we went live, something was causing the slider images to slide slower than the background images, creating a progressively offset loop, where the background images eventually DON’T match the slider images.

    our developer said it was something on our server, maybe a javascript, causing this. but he said he can’t locate it, and it’s basically our problem.

    his solution was to simply disable the background. so we have no background now.

    obviously we want the design we paid for, and we want it to work.

    any suggestions on what might be breaking?

    SECOND ISSUE: there is a huge lagtime between wp-admin updates and website changes. like hours. this is only for certain changes (like any modifications to the slider don’t show up online for hours. this is not a browser cache issue, as the update problems occur on different browsers, & different computers, & completely different networks.

    again, our developer says it’s not his problem.
