Slider Image Appearing in Blog Feed (Soho Theme)

  Whether a slider can have one item is ultimately a philosophical question. Yes, technically it can, but… Let’s not get into that. I’m going to retire from this topic right here, because this thread needs no more examples of you and I saying the same thing in different ways. : )

  Thank you both for all your input! I need to re-read all the messages to make sure I understand what the position is. However, I do have one final question. If I remove the slider tag, can I simply have a background image for the home page, as per the other pages? At present, if I remove the slider tag the home page image disappears. I don’t necessarily need the slider but do want the background images. Thank you! Julie

  “Whether a post slider can have one item is ultimately a philosophical (semantic) question.” e.g. Where nothing slides, can there be a slider.

  No. I tested this yesterday, and the page you set as front page will only use the video or the slider for the background. In the absence of those things it shows a blank background. Other pages will use the featured image, but not the front page.
