Slider Image Dimensions
-
I control the site eatfuku.com. I updated the slider image on the homepage for the first time since I started this job. I can’t figure out what dimensions to make it so there’s not a bunch of dead space at the bottom.

Hello @hklingel,
It appears you’re using the self-hosted version of WordPress with Google Inc. This forum assists users with sites hosted with WordPress.com. You can learn more about the differences between WordPress.com vs WordPress.org here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
For help with your self-hosted site, you can try submitting future questions on the WordPress.org forum for assistance.
That said, taking a quick peek at the slider image dimensions, it looks like the one there now is sized at 1440 x 590.
Sizing will really depend on your preference. But, taking a look at resolution stats from W3Schools, the height should be at least 768px to remove some of the dead space you’re taking about for the majority of viewers. Feel free to experiment on different monitors or devices to see what works best for your needs.
I hope this information helps – best of luck!
