Slider not displaying my Sticky Posts on the Nuntius theme

    The slider does not work. The slider should display my Sticky Posts that have a Featured Image of at least 640 pixels wide. The slider should appear as such on the News Page template once I have marked at least two posts as Sticky. But since yesterday it does not work. It only displays one post or none, and it does not show numbered Sticky Posts as it should. Could you help me please?

    Hi there!

    The slider is working properly, but there’s some additional configuration you need to do to get your sticky posts to properly display.

    The News template requires that you set a featured category for posts to show in that template. That category is set under Appearance -> Theme Options in your dashboard. You’ll notice that your featured category is currently set to “General”. What that means is that all posts need to have the category of “General” in order to show up in the featured slider – currently only 3 of your sticky posts are using the “General” category.

    The other thing you need to do is to make sure your featured image are at least 640px wide. Out of all your sticky posts, these posts do not have a featured image that meets that minimum requirement (with screenshot of the image dimensions for each featured image):

    1. “Las operadoras no llamarán para captar nuevos clientes después de las 20:30 horas” – http://d.pr/i/5epE
    2. “HORÓSCOPOS: horoscopo semanal de la semana del 24 al 30 de junio de 2013” – http://d.pr/i/J4xF
    3. “Las notas de nuestros políticos peperos” – http://d.pr/i/I2Ct
    4. “ECONOTICIAS: Cada familia española pagará 750€ a cambio de ‘nada’” – http://d.pr/i/pFdY

    With these two requirements, the only post you have currently that meets both of these requirements is the post titled “20 cosas que no sabías sobre el bolso de una mujer” – which is the only post currently displaying in the featured slider.

    If you add the General category to the posts that don’t have it and update the featured images on the 4 posts I mentioned above to have a minimum width of 640px, they will all show up in the slider for you.

    I tried with several pictures with a minimum width of 640px: still not working. Just shows the last one of them. Previously all of my sticky posts were showing with no trouble at all.

    During these last ten days, ALL my newer sticky posts will not show but for the most recent one. Previously, I would have not trouble at all, all of them showing regardless of pictures’ size. I am not able anymore to show the slider numbers underneath. They had disappeared. So at this point, out of all my present sticky posts -the five last ones I have featured under ‘General’ category or subcategories- just the last one posted is showing. All five of them should display, as it happened always before. I don’t understand why this theme is not running properly anymore.
    1-La duda de la Xunta: ¿un bebé aprende antes gallego o español? – Sticky post. Showing because it’s the last post published.
    2- Con las crisis proliferan los falsos empleados de las grandes compañías – Not showing. It disappeared from the slider when I posted post #1.
    3.-DIEZ BUENAS RAZONES… para echar humo por las orejas – Not showing.
    4.- El socialista Almunia hunde definitivamente al naval gallego y asturiano – Not showing
    5.-HORÓSCOPOS: horoscopo semanal de la semana del 1 al 7 de julio de 2013 -Not showing.
    I also tried with previous posts that I had showing on the slider in the past. Now I could not make it work. They would not show.

    Just like #3 and #4, this post does not have a featured image set nor is it marked sticky.

    I have tested the behavior and the theme is working properly. You must have the post marked sticky with a featured image set that has a minimum width of 640px in order for the post to display. If both of these requirements are not met, the post will not display.
