slider on Skylark template

  I’m using the Skylark template and had 4 items on my Homepage slider. I noticed one was gone & couldn’t get it back up even tho all the right criteria were checked. So, I reposted as a new post. It went up fine, but now another one disappeared. Is there a 3 item limit on this slider?! If so, did that change? I initially had 4 posts in the slider. How many are allowed? Thanks.

  Hi there!

  The documentation page for Skylark, which is here:

  … doesn’t seem to indicate that there’s a limit as to how many posts you can add to the slider.

  In this case, all you need to do to add a post to the slider is mark it as “sticky”. Doing so is covered in this guide:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

  Right now I’m seeing that you have three posts in the slider, and looking at your Posts > All Posts page, the same three are the only ones that are stickied. So everything appears to be working normally, you may just need to stick some more posts!

  Thanks for the quick response. Before writing my question, I checked for 2 things: that each post for the slider was checked as sticky and they each had a featured image. All four I originally had posted in the slider were still marked sticky & each had a featured image, but now only 3 showed. I deleted and then reposted a missing post today – twice. Each time that I deleted & reposted an item it re-appears in the slider – but one that had just been up now disappears. This just happened now again. All original four are still in my list of posts and all still marked sticky – and at one time all four were in the slider. Why can I only get 3 at a time to stay sticky?!

  Hi there – It will show up to 10. However, I note the sticky post that isn’t displaying right now has a featured image that is too small. They must be at least 500px wide to show up in the slider.
