Slider on static web page? Sight theme

Hello everyone!
I am having trouble adding the featured slider (image slider to display image slidshow) of the Sight theme to the front page of my web page (or any other page).
I have created a static web page, as I do not wish to have a blog, but a regular web page. I’ve read that I’ll need to create a sticky post to add the featured slider, but I don’t want posts, I want a web page.
Can anyone help? Please make you reply detailed… Thank you! :)

If you choose a static front page then know It’s not possible to have the slider on more than one page in the blog and it must be the main page for posts.

Pages we bloggers create are static ie. they do not automatically update and are for content that rarely changes. If we refer to them as Topics or Categories we can become confused as only the dynamic Categories pages created by the software will automatically update.
The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. We can change by creating a static front page and a page for posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic automatically updating categories pages created by the software into the custom menu.

However, can you tell me what exactly the slider “must be the main page for posts” implies – do I change from ‘static home page’ to ‘your latest posts’ under Tools -> Reading in order to set the slider to the ‘main page for posts’?
I have only created one posts page, the rest are pages (with the limitations these have, as per your onecoolsitebloggingtips.com-tip above) – maybe this is the problem?
