Slider – Posts disappear if I make them featured sticky notes

    Hi
    I’m new to the forever theme.
    I’m going to be moving over to a .org shortly, but before I do, I want to make sure this is the right theme for me.

    On my blog I would like to have a slide show of featured post that I choose. Whether it is most recent or by focusing on some chosen ones. Whenever I edit a post with a sticky note and create a featured image, the post moves to the top and no longer can be found in the post column, only at the top. I would like to make it so the chosen one appears at the top of the page and still remains in it’s location of the chain of posts.

    A post isn’t supposed to show twice on the same page (no matter what the theme). The purpose of the slider is to showcase some important posts precisely be removing them from their normal position and displaying them in a more prominent manner on top of the rest of the posts.
