    Hi Folks,

I have been trying to embed my SLIDESHARE playlist with all infographs, 47 or so, with the RSS WIDGET. I copied the Slideshare embedding code

    <div style=”width:577px;margin:auto;”><object style=”margin:0px” width=”575″ height=”410″><param name=”movie” value=”http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/multiwidget.swf”/><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”/><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always”/><embed src=”http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/multiwidget.swf” flashVars=”feedurl=user/markusgaertner&widgettitle=%20Playlist%20%3A%20My%20Uploads” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true” width=”575″ height=”410″></embed></object>
    <div style=”font-size:11px;font-family:tahoma,arial;height:26px;padding-top:2px;text-align:left;”><img src=”http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/logo_embd.png” style=”border:0px none;margin-bottom:-5px” alt=”SlideShare”/> | Get your SlideShare Playlist</div></div>

into the RSS URL line. There is now a blue bar on the right side of my blog page, but nothing happens when I click on it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is flash and flash is not allowed here due to security concerns.

    Add Code to Your Site

You can use slideshare here, just not in the sidebar, only in pages and posts.

If the slideshow has an RSS feed at the slideshare site, you can use the RSS feed URL in the RSS widget, but you cannot put flash into an RSS widget – anywhere. RSS widgets are to display RSS feeds only.

The first time I copied the slideshare code into a new page it worked perfectly. Two minutes later I changed my mind, deleted the new page containing the slideshare code, and instead, copied the same code to an existing page. The only thing that appeared on that page was what was already there. The code disappeared despite having saved and published it.

I then created another page intended for specifically the new slideshare page with the same result. The code did not translate into the slideshare presentation.

I then decided to add a new post with the identical code I used for slideshare in the first endeavor that worked successfully. Same deal. The code does not translate into the slideshare presentation. The page is blank.

I have determined that WordPress.com is extremely buggy. There is nothing else that would explain this kind of bizarre behavior. First the code works perfectly but then it doesn’t?
