Slideshow Background Color
-
I went to Settings>media>appearance and changed and saved the setting for the carrousel to have white background instead of the unappealing black-gray one… This simply does not work. You can clear the cache, wait for a day, say prayers, etc. But the nasty black background is here to stay?
Any solution without going through the CSS nightmare?
Thanks a lot…

Thanks. That horrible thing isn’t the carousel slideshow, it’s the standard WP slideshow. The carousel is the slideshow that shows when you click on a gallery image. Click on any of the images on this Support doc to see the carousel:

As you suspected, if you have the Custom Design upgrade you can freely change the color of the dark frame. If you don’t have the upgrade, I have invented a workaround:

Thank you very much for helping me here. I have got rid of the nasty black color. Unfortunately, Slideshow has problems signing me up with my Linked in account, and the Speakerdeck seems to have big upload problems though I am well-below the size limit.
