Slideshow Caption Formatting
-
Hi there-
Wondering if we can change the color of the captions that appear on the Slideshow and also if there’s a way to make them more readable. As of now, they’re hard to see, being on top of the photo, as opposed to an actual caption.
Thanks!

The photo captions in the slideshow are white, small and pretty difficult to read. Wondering if there’s a way to adjust.

Okay. They aren’t perfect but I’m visually challenged and I can read them. I believe the bottom line here is that you cannot chnage them without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade so you can undertake CSS editing. That being said, I’m not sure you can change it via the upgrade, so I’ll have this thread moved to the CSS Forum to get a definitive answer to that question for you.

They definitely could be worse, but I’m hoping to find a better solution. Assumed a paid upgrade would be involved, but would love to find out more specifics. Thanks for your help!

Howdy,
With a little CSS, this can be cleaned up for you. A quick pass with this custom css:
.slideshow-slide-caption { background: #222; bottom: -2px }resulted in this:

For more information about the upgrade, you can visit http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-design/
Thanks!
