slideshow carousel not working

  Hi, I have a slideshow for my blog on this page:

  The slideshow on top used to be clickable to pop out and show “slideshow carousel”. This was working up until a few minutes ago. Now the slideshow isn’t clickable, and I checked everywhere for errors. I even tried to delete and recreate the slideshow. I have “Enable Carousel” checked under settings –> media.

  Help!

  Also, while I have your attention, is there a way to change the font color for the slideshow? it’s currently white on grey background… :( maybe there’s something that I could add onto [gallery] tag?

  HI!

  It looks like the slideshow is currently working within the page right now. I created a short GIF of my experience here:

  I believe you’re looking for the images to be expanded to a larger size in a slideshow when clicked. If so, you’ll want to change from the “slideshow” gallery type to something like “thumbnail grid.” Then, they should open up in a carousel as described here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#gallery-styles

  Can you give that a try?

  This will require the use of some CSS, which would require the Premium bundle shown here:

  The CSS you would want to use would be the following:

  div.slideshow-slide .slideshow-slide-caption {
  color: #000;
  text-shadow: none;
  }

  I can help you to use that if you would like, but let’s see if we can resolve this by making the first change mentioned above!

  Oh boy, I didn’t think that starting a blog would be this much work. I should have paid more attention in class when I was taking informatics class in college. :( Oh well, can’t go back now!

  It looks like once my blog is settled in, I will have to get the Premium bundle to be able to use CSS. There are so many subtle limitations in using the free themes!
