  I managed to insert a slideshow but how can I get the carrousel slideshow? I don’t have the plugins option on my sidebar.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You don’t need a plugin. First you need to make sure you’ve enabled the carousel under your Media Settings. Second you need to insert a regular image gallery, rather than a slideshow. If you click on an image thumbnail in the gallery the carousel will then open: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/media-settings/#image-gallery-carousel

  thanks a lot for your quick help!. I managed to do it. I saw once a tutorial about a plugin “slideshow gallery 1.1.1” at wordpress which shows the photos of the slideshow in miniature underneath and one big one with arrows you can use to click through. I wonder how to get this since I don’t have plugin option at all.

  That tutorial is probably for WordPress.org (which, despite the same name, is completely different and separate from WordPress.com). They can install plugins and customise their sites by editing the base files and style sheets directly.

  We don’t have those options here, I’m afraid. The only support documents for galleries that are valid here are the ones I linked to above, though you will also find some additional tips, tricks and workarounds on this blog written by another forum volunteer: http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/category/gallery/
