slideshow code doesn’t work

I copied the code from slideshow.com. However, I could only see three buttons but not the whole slideshow. What can i do?

You did post it correctly.
It has embedded flash in it. Flash (along with javascript and iframes) is stripped out because of security concerns.
From the FAQ (http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/03/31/can-i-have-a-slideshow/) it looks like you can use slide.com, rockyou.com and slideshare.net if you want a slideshow.

Check that FAQ thread for instructions on embedding. You have to do it differently because it’s on WordPress.com, and the specific instructions should be in that thread.
