slideshow of uploaded images not related to posts or pages

On the http://subversivecooking.wordpress.com/ site, page titled “Drollery,” I’m unable to make these images as a slideshow. I loaded them as instructed. Can’t images work as a slideshow when they aren’t from a page or post?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I clicked on the images on your Drollery page, and I was taken to an image carousel just like the carousel mentioned on our gallery support page: Gallery
If you click on the images in your post, do you see that carousel come up? If so, is that the slideshow you mentioned, or are you trying to set up something different?

I’d hoped it would open as a slideshow rather than a block of images that become a slideshow only when an image is clicked on. Any chance I can tweak it to something other than this block of images?

Sure thing! Right now, you’re using a “Square Tiles” gallery on that page. If you’d like it to appear on the page as a slideshow, you can choose the “Slideshow” gallery type.
To make that change, you can go to Pages > All Pages in your dashboard. Hover over the “Drollery” page title, and click the Edit link that appears there.
In the page editor, you can click on the gallery and then click the edit icon in the upper left (it looks like a pencil). That will bring up the gallery editor. On the right there, you’ll see the Gallery Settings. In the Type dropdown menu, you can select Slideshow.
Then, click the Update Gallery button. Be sure to click the Update button in the page editor to save your changes.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Thank you Rachel! Your instructions were perfect. It’s now exactly as I’d hoped it would be. You really are a Happiness Engineer.

You’re welcome! :) I’m really glad that did the trick. (Also, I just have to mention that I love the idea behind subversive cooking!)
