Slideshow order rearranging bug

  I am working on a post that contains a large amount of images in a slideshow. These images need to appear in a specific order that I have rearranged them into in the media library. After much time getting them in the right order, saving the post as a draft, and then leaving and coming back, the order I had put the images into has changed. This means I have to go back in and re-order them all over again. The number of images makes this extremely time consuming.

  Is there a way to go “back” in slideshow order or is there any other possible explanation for this bug?

  Well we haven’t posted the post that we’ve had trouble with because it is still in-progress. Our website is contemporaryartdaily.com and we typically post between something like 20-100 images per post. We’re currently working on two larger posts of probably hundreds of images to cover two art fairs that happened over the weekend. We are captioning each image uploaded with artist and gallery credits and trying to keep them in the order that we upload and then manually sequence them, but twice now the sequence has scrambled without any apparent interference from any of us. Our theory is that we are maxing out our memory from mass uploading. We aren’t able to fix the problem using draft revision history back ups because the gallery itself seems to have a mind of its own. The post in particular is currently in our Pending posts and is the “NADA Miami Beach 2017” post, not the Art Basel post, which has not experienced mis-sequence issues thus far. Again, you will not find either of these posts published on our site currently, as they are incomplete and we want to ensure as we continue to upload that we will not have to re-sequence the hundreds of images for a third time.
