Slideshow Text Widget

  Hi. The above matter refers.

  I wanted to put the slideshow text widget at the publication page for each books (you may click on the books to view the page).

  I wanted to put the slideshow text widget as a credit for the book.

  I have found a tutorial in this one website, namely http://codepen.io/nucliweb/pen/ymedj

  I followed the steps, the text moving.

  But the problem is the text is not moving at the widget part, it appeared moving at the header.

  As such, please advise me how to solve this problem.

  Hi there,

  There’s no such thing as a slideshow text widget on WordPress.com. You can add a slideshow widget to your site that shows images, or you can add a text widget that shows static text content. But there is no way to add a widget with text, that behaves like a slideshow. If you want to do that you need to make images containing the text you want, and add those to an image slideshow widget:

  The Codepen code you link to cannot be used in a text widget, as text widgets don’t work that way. You can try adding the CSS in the Customizer, and the HTML in a text widget, but I cannot guarantee that it will work.

  Hi @kokkieh,

  Yes, it didn’t work. It did not move at the widget but instead at the header. The page freezed and cannot be scrolled due to that CSS code customization.

  The slider in the header is a feature of your theme. You don’t need to add any code to make that work. You just need to tag some posts as featured and make sure they also have featured images set and that slider works automatically. You can find more detailed information in your theme’s instructions here:

  Nothing on your site is frozen for me. The slider is working and I can scroll down without problems. Please try clearing your browser cache if it’s not working right for you.
