Slideshows: how can viewers see the image description?

  hello, I am making a slide show, but I want it to be a stand-alone piece with the description for each picture telling the story. At the moment, only the caption is visible, and if I put the description into the caption, it’s too long. Any way round this please?

  This is not possible with the default slideshow shortcode. But you can embed several other types of slideshows in your WordPress.com pages that may offer such a feature.
