  What if I DON’T want traffic? Is there a way so that my post aren’t automatically posted on “Freshly Posted”, or in the “Reader”? What if I want to build my blog slowly and quietly? Sounds strange, I know, but I want to do it that way… Strange. Can you help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi zoechtopia,
  You are able to make your blog private so that no one can see it. This is a great option while you are getting everything together. Here is a link that will help with privacy settings. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  If you don’t want to be in the Reader etc you can set your site to Public but at the same time block search engines. Also, don’t put the Subscription widget in the sidebar. You can’t ultimately control how many people read your blog, subscribe to the RSS feed, etc, but you can make it more difficult for them.
