@p90xsale-Um, no, you’re still in the wrong forum. Those instructions are meant for self-hosted blogs. Some people confuse WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM (which is where we are). These links will explain the difference.

I’ve been having the same problem loading any wordpress dashboard pages the last 2 months – I have tried emailing support, with no improved results…www.sarahstarrenburg.wordpress.com…have tried the router thing…and it’s just wordpress dashboard pages, not other web pages…even tried starting a new wordpress blog in case it was localised to mine for some reason, but same thing…I’m in Brisbane, Australia, running Safari on a Mac…

Hi!
I have a performance problem too.
Working in edit mode (HTTPS) is extremely slow. It lasts 20 seconds or more to open or save a page.
Location: Austria, Europe
Best regards

Downsize your pics, don’t compress them – the reduction in file size via compression is way less than it would be properly downsizing them in PhotoShop or similar.

Those of you having sluggishness problems – do you Hibernate your machines, any of you? If so, do a proper reboot, which will re-initialise everything and the problem may well go away.
Just a thought. . .

I have been experiencing similar issue for a while, for example here
http://omniclimate.wordpress.com
After verifying the Flash version I have experimented now with FireBug and the results indicate I should completely avoid https. I can now start writing in post-new within 4 seconds instead of having to wait 16-19 seconds.
Still the page does not complete loading for around 45 seconds. There are more than 100 requests behind the scenes, for some reason.
One last thing…clearing the browser Cache (Firefox) did help.

I have the same problem: my wp-admin is extremly slow! When I press Update button after I make changes to Post or Page, it takes 1-2 minutes for change to be stored
To edit the above blog, I use Internet Explorer 8 and on Windows XP Home Edition
At first, I thought that it can be related to growing number of my posts (currently it is 25 or so of them), and I wondered can it be related to that? Because in November 2009 wp-admin was flying perfectly
But then I realized that it is also slow with my another blog on wordpress.com that has just 5 or so pages, and 1 post. To edit my second blog I use Safari 3.5.7
Any advise how to investigate the problem will be appreciated!

Details are important when requesting help.
(1) Where are you located?
(2) Are you using a networked computer linked to other computers?
(3) Have you tried these techniques? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
(4) Have you tried another browser? http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html -
Those using Firebug: which files/items are the slow ones?
Others experiencing slowness: as much as we’d like to help, “WordPress is slow” is not nearly enough information. We need to know exactly what page you are on, what you are doing, how long it takes, and preferably a list of which resources are slow (obtained with Firebug or Safari’s Web Inspector).
Important: replies that don’t answer the above questions will be deleted. Without those answers there is nothing anyone can do to help.

Let’s see if this time it works…
(1) Brazil, Sao Paulo
(2) no
(3) yes
(4) yesIt happens in the admin page, when I’m trying to add a new post or edit. The slowest one is to add photos.
wp-admin – Edit post, Stats, Add Photo in post, Save Post
Sometimes they take 2-3 minutes, sometimes it’s faster, taking 15s.

@akdenizli2009
I don’t know what you are going on about but I do know that searching Google for your blog has nothing whatsoever to do with the subject matter in this thread.Read what Staff said here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/slow-loading-often-unresponsive-wordpresses/page/2?replies=37#post-421737

Same problem. The pages simply don’t load at all at times. Usually happens right after I update the blog. If I try to edit, all I get is the “Problem Loading Page” from Firefox (for blog AND dashboard).
