  Hello

  I’ve used this site to test my site performance for webcrawlers:

  http://www.feedthebot.com/tools/spider/

  I’ve tested my homepage:

  http://software-solutions-online.com/

  There is basically just text and a 240 kbyte picture on that page but it says my page speed score is 85/100. I don’t understand why the page speed score is so low.

  Hi there,

  The page speed test is a guide and indicates certain things that a site owner could improve to potentially make the site faster. However, because of the functionality on certain sites, implementing some of these recommendations is not possible without nullifying the very functionality that is required of the website.

  A much better test would be that of a page speed test, like this one that I ran on your site, which showed your whole site loading in 0.595s, which is pretty quick (in the top 4% of all websites according to that test).

  Of course, there’s not much that you as a WordPress.com user can do about it, because the tweaks that need to be made are mostly in our hands as the site owners, but you can make certain improvements, like only uploading the size of image that is needed for your site.
