SLOW PAGES

Why does it take so long to write pages? My posts are quick and efficient, but the pages are frustratingly slow. It’s not the uploading, it’s the actual writing of them. When I key in anything, it takes ages to appear. The page layout also keeps changing and “jumping” about. It happens on any computer I’m working on, so it’s nothing to do with the speed of my connection.If anyone answers this, please use simple language. I can’t understand all the lingo others use!

Ok, thanks for the reply. My URL is http://helendipity.wordpress.com/ and I’m using explorer at home and mozilla firefox at work (with both, I have the problem I stated)but I don’t know what versions. How do I find out?
