Slow Website

Hi. My website is quite slow and rigid when scrolling down, it doesn’t scroll smoothly like all the other pages I open on my computer. Is this because of the amount of photos I have on the site? Being a photographer it is necessary to show a lot of my work. Please help.

A site’s speed can definitely vary depending on how and where you’re looking at it – I just tested your site on my computer, for instance, and it seems to scroll smoothly with no issues – so the first thing I’d recommend would be testing it out in a few different environments. Try viewing it on another browser on your computer, for instance, or testing it on a mobile device.
If it’s still jerky for you, you might want to try reorganizing the site a little so it’s not trying to load too many high-res photos at the same time. For instance, you could set up a static front page (https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/) to welcome visitors to your site without loading all the posts at once, or use a Read More tag (https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/) to cut posts off after the first few lines and keep the photos on their own individual pages.
