Small business – bulk product upload and linking images

    Hi
    I am not too familiar with wordpress and I am looking for some advice on how to link images when uploading, and how to store images in general.
    I am aware that the All Import plugin has a couple of methods of linking images to products, but what i want to know is, what is best practice for imagery in terms of their first inital import and storage?

    I am aware wordpress makes 3 copies of uploaded images for the default sizes it requires. I want to avoid running into storage problems, and any advice at all on best practice for a large amount of images.

    The website i am working on currently has a large uploads folder full of images. I am not sure how this happened to the company and want to rebuild their site with a solid base and proper configuration settings.

    Hi @sunnyday20201, WordPress is going to automatically generate thumbnails to go with your themes and plugins. If you won’t be using all of the sizes, you can adjust the theme / plugins to suit.

    Noting too, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com. For help with a site hosted somewhere else, you’ll need to use the forums for self-managed WordPress installations instead.
