Small edit post text box on Surface Pro 3 again

    Hi, I’ve written about this issue before and it was fixed, but the problem is back again. Here’s the screenshot of the problem:

    The text box where I’m supposed to enter the post is too small and it’s a real pain to write anything in it, especially with the theme I’m using. This is visible on Surface Pro 3 in Chrome browser. It works on my desktop on Windows 8.1 in Chrome just fine. It seems like WordPress doesn’t like Surface Pro 3.

    It’s a sad thing these things can’t just stay fixed. I don’t always write posts on my Surface, but when I do the input box is always messed up like this. Then I give up and just go home and write on my desktop. Again. Guess that’s what’ll happen today. Again. If I find time to write when I get back. :(

    Hi there!

    Yikes! That’s no fun! If I had to guess this is actually a combination browser and development shortfalls. The site code could probably be written better to avoid this, but the browser should also do a better job of rendering it since it works everywhere else.

    I can’t fix the site code for you, but here are a few things to consider trying to work around the issue:

    1. Try resizing the browser window and reloading the page with the window at different sizes.

    2. Try using a different browser. IE is usually the worst, but it’s worth a try. Firefox is usually very good too.

    3. Worst case scenario, you could also write in a text editor then copy and paste.

    Hi, next time I’m on my Surface I’ll give these tips a try, though I’m usually most creative in a familiar environment. I suppose a switch to Firefox would be least painful if it works and all else fails.

    Thanks for help, I’ll post a follow-up when I see how this works out on Surface.

    Sounds good! And start with just the resizing that just might work too and let you keep your familiar environment.
