Small tweaks to Twenty Eleven theme?

  I’d like to know how to make small tweaks to the theme I’ve chosen: Twenty Eleven. Can I center the title? Can I delete the search widget in the header? Can I change the color of the ribbon at the bottom of the header with the Home and About buttons?
