Smile Charities free template

Hi – I paid someone to develop my site for me and he chose the Smile Charities template. After completion and checking on my laptop it went live yesterday. Last night I discovered it does not work on my phone – is it possible to make the site with this template work on phone, tablet and laptop? My developer tells me that the problem is with this theme and he does not want to change themes. He tells me that I would have to upgrade to Pro Version to fix this. Can anyone help or advise me please. Surely when one pays a developer to create a site it should work on all devices?

Hello – not sure if I am meant to reply to Smile Charities here – is there a way that I can get my site using this template, to work on a mobile phone and tablet . Happy to give you access to the site to help me. Thanks

The forum you’re posting in now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We don’t offer any theme called Smile Charities here.
It sounds like the developer made a site for you using the open source WordPress software at another host. We have no control over sites that aren’t hosted with us, nor can we help with a theme that we didn’t create.
You’ll need to contact support for the theme you’re using directly for help with this. I’m guessing it’s this one, listed on the WordPress.org theme directory:

If you don’t have a WordPress.org username yet, you’ll need to register one before you can post there. Your WordPress.com username won’t let you log in there, nor will the admin username for your site.
