Smithland theme: disable header dropdowns
-
Can anyone tell me whether it’s possible to disable the dropdowns in the main header menu for this theme? I just want the header menu to link directly to the ‘Copywriting’ and ‘Travel Writing’ pages without showing a dropdown with every child page.
Really hope this is possible to get rid of this messy-looking feature.

@roelzernere1df6e6814 if you don’t want the additional subitems in your menu, you can delete them. Deleting menu items doesn’t delete the content they’re linked to.
You’ll want to go to Appearance > Editor. Edit the template and select the Navigation block, then click the 3 dots to delete the subitems, like this:

We also have additional guides on working with your menu and the Navigation block here: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
