SMS verification codes don’t arrive

  I authorized 2-step-verification on my profile only to find out, that the SMS verification codes don’t work. Who can I contact now to circumvent this and gain access to my profile settings?

  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there,

  Have you changed your phone number? If you haven’t, then please contact your carrier and ask them if they’re blocking any SMS messages from WordPress.com.

  Also, I see that you’ve generated backup codes, so you can use one of them to login into your account.

  Reach out to your carrier and ask the above – they should be able to sort that out.

  In the meantime you should disable two-step and set it up again using an authenticator app since your carrier isn’t sending those SMS messages to you.
