SMS/Text verification (HELP with # change)

(HELP with # change):
I use the two step/SMS verification & changed my cell number today. I tried to update my number on WP site when I got home but am having problems as it still has me linked to my old number for this procedure & there doesn’t seem to be an option for me to change my number anywhere anyway. I visit my blogs daily & would like to continue accessing both of them from my phone as well my laptop.
What can I do…?

It is evident that to try & disable my “old” number within your settings, texting STOP/HELP to 77377 are now all just futile attempts at rectifying this conflict.

Hi there – Are you unable to log into your WordPress.com account itself on your computer, or is it that you can’t log into the app on your phone?
You don’t currently have SMS enabled, but you do have two step authentication. Do you still have the authenticator app on your phone?

I had to open another WP account with another email to even be able to respond :(
Hi there eurello. Yes, I am unable to log into my WP account as dcb1016 on my computer because I am being asked for a verification code. I can log in & checks certain things on on my phone but cannot for example comment here because I need to log in & can’t.
I disabled SMS after I created this topic here because I later realized I would never get it anyway because I changed my phone number. Yes, I do still have two step but have used all my back up codes & had no reserve so to speak. I needed to replenish but it is impossible now.
I do have the WP app installed on my phone. What do I do…?
