  I’m afraid you can’t use plugins for sites hosted on WordPress.com

  Thank you for replying. Yes, I found the information shortly after I posted the question. I didn’t really understand the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. But I do now! I’m trying to figure out the best way of compressing images before uploading them to WordPress,com instead. :)
