How the heck do you get the Snaps theme to look like it does on the main demo with multiple pictures in a row that darken with a title when you hover over it?

PLEASE HELP. I’ve spent the last three hours trying to figure this out.

    Hi monkishreleases

How the heck do you get the Snaps theme to look like it does on the main demo with multiple pictures in a row that darken with a title when you hover over it?

PLEASE HELP. I’ve spent the last three hours trying to figure this out.

Snaps theme is based on portfolio feature of the WordPress. In the main demo, the home page is the portfolio page on which all the portfolio projects are displayed.

You can easily create this thing for your site by adding the portfolio page and projects in your site.

To Know more about the snaps theme features please visit the theme support link:
    https://wordpress.com/theme/snaps
Please check out the overview tab and under that see the section get started there you will find the complete description of how to create a portfolio page as home page.

To know more about the portfolio here are some link to support document for that:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/portfolios/

    Hope this helps

    Okay, I got that.

Now I am trying to do something else they do where they have multiple menu(s)?? at the top and it has selected portfolios in each menu.

So there’s the home page with all of the portfolios.

Then there are other pages with more portfolios.

I have read the full page of menus and am getting even more confused. https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

I do not understand the difference of a menu and a page I don’t think… I created a page like it told me to, that added another page to the bar at the top. Ex. I have “HOME” “IPAS” “DIPAS”…

Then I created a menu where I tried to put specific Portfolio posts into one of those menus and it would not work… When I clicked Primary it ended up changing the bar to the specific portfolios as options where the menus were…

Is there a way to get specific Portfolios to be on separate pages while having all of them appear on my home page?

Nevermind I figured that part out. I just posted a new question in the forum that is the only thing left I need to figure out!
