Snaps Theme and disabling Portfolio

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, I’ve toggled the portfolio to “off” in my settings but still when I set my theme to “Static Front Page” it shows the portfolio as “nothing found” underneath my custom page. If I change it to “latest posts” it goes away. I am planning to use the portfolio in the future but not yet, is there a way to get rid of this “nothing found” message??

    My site is: pricklypearmediablog.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @vegcouverblog,

The reason you’re getting the “Nothing Found” error is because your sites Portfolio page is empty ––i.e,https://pricklypearmediablog.wordpress.com/portfolio/.
If you set up the Portfolio page and assign the correct page, it should work correctly. You can learn more about setting up the Portfolio and the Front page from your theme page:

    https://wordpress.com/theme/snaps

To get rid of it temporarily you can create a temporary page, with some content and select that as your Front Page. It would serve your purpose till you set up your Portfolio page and assign it as your Front page.

Hope this helps, let me know for any further questions.
    Thanks!

Thank you, I did have a page set up as the front page, but it was still doing it, however I now created a new one and set that to my front page and now it has disappeared. Thanks!

Glad to know it’s in place now!
In the previous case, the selected page might be a problem.
Do let me know for anything else.
    Thanks!
    Best Wishes! :)
