Snapshots and plugs in
-
I need the snapshots function in my blog.
I found a plug in for WordPress snapshots but I can not install it because I do not have in my dashboard the plug-in tab.
Any help, best wishes, María

Plugins are not available on WordPress.com, though they’re usually not necessary anyway.
Plugins are used to add features and functionality to self-hosted installations of WordPress.org. Your blog on WordPress.com already includes functions and feature way beyond what is offered on a stock WordPress.org install, so you don’t need to mess with plugins to get what you want.

Thank for you answer. What I need is that when a student pass the mouse over a word that I link to a picture s/he will be able to see the picture (snapshot) without going to the actual link,
Do you think it is doable? Before, a year ago?? this was possible but not anymore and this is a very important feature for my blog, since is for languages students that need to learn vocabulary.
Best wishes, María

That could be doable by adding some CSS hover elements via a Custom Design upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
It could get a bit tedious, and you would need to apply the right class to each word when writing the post, and you would need a separate class for each hover element, but it is doable.
