snapshots misbehaving this week

Hi there – I hate to bother you guys who’ve heard it all before, but only been blogging a month and today (or possibly last Tuesday too) I find that snapshots is not opening the full page ie it shows the main webpage as you hover over, but not the bit after it, so a link to somewhere will not show the actual bit I want previewed. Is this a blip in the system or what? I’ve had it working for a month doing similar pages.

If you can be bothered, and to give an example, the first link on the latest post brings up the exact Daily Mail page, whereas the second one brings up Reuters front page, even though if you actually click it brings up the correct story. Can anyone help please? Thanks. -
That’s most likely a problem at snap, not a problem here. What you describe (along with a long list of other problems I encountered) is exactly why I turned snapshots off about 10 months ago and never turned it back on. Anything that randomly prevents my blog from loading or keeps my header image from loading gets heaved into the dustbin.

Thankyou. I realise I may have to delete the thing altogether but I’ll stick with it another day or two and see if it goes back to working properly, and then make a decision.

You’re welcome. Another thing that could be causing issues is all the upgrades that seem to be happening at the ol’ dot com this weekend. As you say, give it till say, Monday and see what happens.

By the way in case you did not know, Snapshots is activated and deactivated at presenation > extras.

Thanks for your help, TSP. It seems that if I actually click on my link (not their snapshot) and then go back to the blog, it actually shows the correct page in the snapshot – as if it had to be shown, or made to find, the page I wanted!! Oh well, we press on! From what others say on the forum, I should be glad I don’t have major problems!
