Snippet showing deleted text when I share to Facebook
-
I added a page to my blog and published it, then I went back and edited the text on the page. When I was finished I clicked the button to share the page on my Facebook page. The link created contains the text I deleted from the page. I have deleted all of my internet cache, rebooted my computer and tried again several times. Each time I click the Facebook share button I get the old, deleted text as the “snippet” that appears as the link summary on facebook. How can I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you sure you are not viewing a cached version that your browser has snagged and is displaying. These days browsers are holding not data and some bloggers are reluctant to try clearing their browser cache and cookies and then viewing the snippet again. Will you please try that?

OOPS! I’m sorry for posting that above. please ignore what I said as you have done that. I apologize and will back out of this thread. Hopefully, another Volunteer or Staff will have a solution for you.

The text is being cached by WordPress because I tried using the Facebook button from within my WordPress App on my iPhone and had the exact same issue, so this isn’t my computer. I deleted the page and created a new page, changed some text in the first paragraph, and tried again. I got the same result; the deleted text appeared in the snippet. So I have finally deleted the page, added it again but changed nothing from the original text I first saved. Problem not solved, but I have worked around it. This appears to be a bug.
