  Did the team listen to us last year regarding reintroducing the free holiday snow feature? Will our snow return on 1 December this year?

  Hi there,

  The falling snow feature will not be returning to WordPress.com and Jetpack-powered sites. It was removed because it caused performance and accessibility issues, and that hasn’t changed.

  There does exist a custom CSS workaround that you can use if you’re on the Premium Plan, or on the Business Plan there exist plugins that will let you add a similar effect to your site, but on the free and Personal plans there’s no workaround available.

  Really sorry to hear that–I LOVED the snow feature and it didn’t cause any problems for my site. I hope you can find a way to bring this back in the future.

  Totally agree, the snow feature was excellent, though it was a pain not being able to see it only via a laptop and not by my devises like tablets, ipads etc
