Snow effect to my webpage?
-
I bought a plug-ins with snow effect to my website, which I have read can not be used in wordpress? It was created for WordPress … do you have something similar I can use? Regards Bente
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Plugins can only be uploaded and used on WordPress.ORG, self-hosted sites. You cannot use an external plugin on a WordPress.COM hosted site.
I know of no way to add this effect to your site permanently. However, it seems that around this time every year, WordPress.com turns on an option that allows people to add falling snow to their blogs for a short time. It’s only a limited time, but it gets the job done.

Thank you for your response, then we wait to see if we get snow effect from WordPress to Christmas :-)

I would like to turn on snow on my blogs as well, but I cannot find the appearance – extra option to turn it on that used to be active in previous versions. Where can I turn it on?

I also am waiting for it to snow. It’s one of my favorite features. Alas, it only snows on wordpress in Dec. If only!

My blog is snowing, but my friend’s is not, and she uses the same theme I do. How do I tell her to get the snow falling on her blog?

Hi there,
You can enable/disable the snow and then it will or will not display on your blog or any other WordPress.com blogs you visit. To enable/disable the snow go here > https://wordpress.com/#!/settings/
scroll down to:
Snow __ Show falling snow on blogs where it’s enabled. -
THANKS! I was looking under customize and themes etc, and missed “Settings – General” :-)
