Snow not showing on devices.
-
Hi I’m using Apple devices of iPad and iPhone but I don’t see snow falling on my site. Why please?
I thought I may have to ask on WordPress.org given I’m using apple devices but I’ve been told to ask here instead.
Thanks.

Hi @sharonharvey2, we don’t display snow on mobile devices, because it would drain the batteries too much:
-
I find that a little unfair…..I get that it may drain the battery but shouldn’t that be up to the user to decide whether they want it or not…? A lot of people now use iPads to do their work on and they are missing out.
I think it’s a marvellous feature and like seeing it at this time of year.
-
Since the people it affects most would be the site viewers, not the site owners, we have opted not to display it on mobile devices. Glad you’re enjoying it on your non-mobile devices, though. Happy holidays!
-
apologies, I hadn’t looked at it from that point of view…thing is, wont it still drain a laptop battery as it would an ipad or iphone? Same thing still applies surely?
