So confused!
-
Thank you in advance as any help is appreciated at this point!
I am not technical or computer litarate.
However, I am trying, hard.I want to start my own bussiness, I bought a domain through bluehost , and it offered wordpress with it.
I bought this domain using my personal old email address as I obviously hadn’t got an email similar to my domain as I hadn’t yet bought my domain! Now I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing.
I want a website that my domain links to.
I want a professional blog that can be viewed on my website.Bluehost technical team created an email for me similar to my domain.
But I don’t understand.
Where is my website? On bluehost or wordpress?
I now have a blue host and wordpress log in and including my old email and new domain similar email I have got confused with pass words. To be honest I only know how to use Gmail and wish I had a domain similar email connected to this but I have an email through bluehost now!
In simple terms I want:
A bussiness website
A bussiness email account
A blog that is connected to my websiteI am so ridiculously confused
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
No worries, these things ARE confusing, but they don’t have to be as hard as they appear at first :)
First, let’s clarify that there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.
We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
You can find more details about WordPress.com and WordPress.org on this page:
https://wordpress.com/go/website-building/wordpress-com-vs-wordpress-org/.
So, when you’re purchasing hosting on Bluehost (or any other host), you can build your site on their servers, using the WordPress software. To go to your site, you will need to log into dorotheacopywriter.com/wp-admin. Since it’s hosted elsewhere, we can’t really help with much more.
Now, WordPress.com is a different hosting company, a so-called managed hosting. That means that we take care of all the technical, backend site management like software updates, site security, real-time backups, spam management, etc., so you can focus on your content. All that, combined with our awesome direct support via forums, email or live chat, depending on your plan. Does that sound good? :)
To make it even better, we have a service that will actually build the site for you, you can check out more details here: https://wordpress.com/do-it-for-me/.
If you’d like to consider moving your site here, you can read more about our plans below. We’re here if you have any more questions:
