So far this wordpress is useless unless someone goes to college to be a web programmer. Can’t find how to edit my title nor ad my avatar.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Title is simple: Dashboard >> Settings >> Change Title & Tagline – remember to save changes (bottom of the page)

Gravatars can be changed at users > my profile in your dashboard.

If you are talking about the blog avatar (blavatar), the small icon that shows in the browser address bar and tabs in your brower, that can be changed at settings > general.

Avatar isn’t on my blog where it should be nor is there any button marked dashboard or edit to change title.
If I wanted to be a progammer I could just pay someone and it would allow me to focus on business and customer support. -
Why don’t you just ASK THE QUESTION instead of bitching you don’t somehow already have the answer?
The answer is found easily by going to the Support documents (or even this forum) and typing in “add avatar.” You’d even find out it shows in the Forums first, then on the blog after a few hours.

Finally picked a theme that seems to be eye-catching: Ideation and Intent. Hopefully by Tuesday I can grasp on how to transfer existing finance blog from posterous.

To transfer your posterous site to wp.com? I’d guess that this is your first question because your blog appears to be empty: http://sincityfinancier.wordpress.com/Once you accomplish that, then you can choose a theme and proceed with your blog/site.
We volunteers are happy to answer technical questions, but because we are not mind readers, we need specific information about what you want to accomplish.

Have yet to transfer my existing blog from http://SinCityFinancier.posterous.com.
But I have achieved posting a title and font. That took me a few hours.
Feedback from others tell me that using word press requires essentially programmers skills which I don’t have. I was able to set up my posterous account 3 years ago and I found it’s auto syndication posting and email posting to be user-friendly.
