So frustrating, where is the PORTFOLIO for people to view and comment on?

The main reason I need this blog is to post photographs altogether (there are 14 so far) that I am inviting people to comment on as a questionnaire. So far I have saved 6 in the ‘Portfolio’ section of my blog but it is not coming up to view as portfolio option for people on the site….no button to press….AND even worse, the titles I have put in have published but the writing underneath just has disappeared and only has info me me i.e.’This is the excerpt for a featured content post’ or ‘This is the excerpt for your very first post.’ I am sooo frustrated please help me, I am doing everything as directed on the ‘how to’ pages but getting nowhere.

Try this to solve it:
1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
2. On the sidebar of the Customizer, click on Content Options.
3. On the Blog Display option select Post excerpt, if it is already selected, select Full Post and then select Post excerpt again.
4. Finally, click Save & Publish.Let us know if these help 🙂

Many thanks. Can I have the Portfolio option as a tag next to Home and Contact and About? So it leads straight to these pictures? People viewing cannot see the portfolio option…
I tried the excerpt/full post option as suggested but it’s resorting back to the same info text for me, can I have an excerpt from my text without it saying “This is the excerpt..” etc? -

Yes, you can. You need to add custom menu item to do that.
So, follow these steps:
1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
2. On the sidebar of the Customizer click on the Menus > tab.
3. Click the Primary > tab.
4. Now, if you want to new add items to the menu bar then click the Add Items button.
5. From the Custom Links tab paste the portfolio link in the URL field and give the Link a name on the Link Text field.
6. Click Add to Menu.
7. Once everything’s done, click Save & Publish.You can read more about adding custom menu items and creating sub-menus here:

Also, the portfolio link in the menu works for me too.

Thanks so much, I have sorted the portfolio problem! However, I am failing to see what the widget section can do for the site… Can this have a link for my main website on it? If so how?
