So much has changed!

I was a heavy user 10 years ago and am a bit lost now. Are there no longer any widgets? I am trying to embed my new WordPress Blog into a GoDaddy Site, but I can’t tell if it is working. I accidently deleted by Follow button and can’t for the life of me even figure out how to get it back or to set my navigation using categories. I went to find a getting started and got completely overwhelmed. Is there anyone on who can help with the new language for the site now? Are there still widgets?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have verified my email multiple times but am still getting the fix error. What am I missing?
Any help is appreciated.

I tried posting my question to chat 4 hours ago but haven’t gotten a response yet – I then tried to create a forum topic, a received a verification email and link, but that link gave me a 404 error. I tried to submit to this forum, but there are not many responses. Am I going to the wrong places for assistance? I keep getting asked to verify my email (I do, even get a message it was verified, but the fix remains). I am getting ready to go live with my web site and worried the blog is not set up right. I received an email that I have a follower, but it is not showing up on the dashboard.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi there – welcome back to WordPress.com and what must assuredly feel like a steep learning curve ahead. We have lots of great resources we’re ready to share with you that will no doubt be helpful, but before we do that I need your help with this detail you shared with us…
I am trying to embed my new WordPress Blog into a GoDaddy Site
That’s a little out of the ordinary. Could share more with us about that and what you’re wanting to accomplish with that embed? The information you provide I have a feeling will play into how we help you work through your other questions and beyond. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for replying.
I have an established Web site hosted by GoDaddy. I am about to roll out an update and one feature I wanted to add was a blog. I have a content schedule and communication plan and the ability to embed the URL onto my Web site which I have done. My WordPress blog shows up on the home page and makes it dynamic. I find I am now lost on the WordPress – so much has changed and now fear I have set things up wrong, but I was unable to reach anyone. I closed this because I was worried about spamming the forum.

You merged all of my topics into one – but I set this to resolved. Now no one will respond.

Since staff has responded here, we’ll see it. And I can un-resolve it for you too.
I can see you’ve got a new blog here with us. It looks like you’re doing just fine with it — is that the one you’re trying to incorporate into your GoDaddy site? Could you share a link to that so we have more context? We’re happy to help how we can.

Yes – here is the link to my Web site with fairly static content. The Blog is featured on the Home Page. http://www.homelessnetworkyc.org/ I published it so you can see the changes – I am still working on a couple of bugs though.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help.

Sure thing.
I am trying to embed my new WordPress Blog into a GoDaddy Site, but I can’t tell if it is working
Looks like you’ve got that! Is it working okay for you too? Do you want the menu links on the blog site to go back to the main site? If so, this tutorial on menus may help.
Or, if you’re looking for another option, it is possible to set up static pages on WordPress.com, too, so that the blog is just part of the site. You’d just create each page here. And then you could connect your regular domain. Let us know if you’re interested in that and we can provide more direction if needed!

Thank you, but this is a long-established site with e-mail and other features attached. I am reviewing the Help article and will try and link my main site to the blog. Thank you so much,
