So new subscribers would not have to confirm over email that they want to subcribe to my blog page
-
New subscribers have to go onto their email and confirm that they want to get my blog sent to them. That is not the way it used to be. They were automatically followers then. How do I get it changed back? I have pics of each of the emails I get after to show how they are different. thanks.

Hi Ben, there are two ways to follow a site:
With a WordPress.com account, through our Reader
While logged in, the person would click to follow the site. If their reader is configured to send emails, they’ll automatically get emails without having to confirm a subscription.By email address, without using a WordPress.com account
Logged out, a person types their email address into a form. They’ll get an email asking them to confirm they want to follow the site. It’s been this way for as long as I’ve worked here, so I’m guessing you had encountered the first case initially, and the second case with your new subscribers. Does that sound right to you?
The confirmation is there to help prevent spam.
