    Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. I can definitely help you with your domain question!

The SOA record is something that is set automatically by your domain registrar, so unfortunately, it’s not something that can be changed. However, if you point a domain registered elsewhere to WordPress.com, we set the SOA record automatically.

After looking at your domain, I noticed that you have a mix of nameservers currently, which can prevent your domain from resolving to your website consistently. To make sure that your domain resolves to your website here at WordPress.com, you need to use our nameservers and not any of GoDaddy’s.

    Our nameservers are:

    • ns1.wordpress.com
    • ns2.wordpress.com
    • ns3.wordpress.com

I hope that clarifies things! Please let us know if you have any other questions. We’re always here to help.

    Hi,

Thanks so much! I’m in the waiting process for the NS records to transfer over, it mentioned a 72 hour waiting period. I think I’m explaining this portion correctly. In go daddy, I could not edit the NS records so I’m waiting until it’s available to do so or when wordpress/godaddy are connected.

    Best

Thanks for the update! If you’re waiting for those nameserver changes to fully propagate, you can use a site like What’s My DNS to monitor the status of those changes:

    https://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/hindsightdesigns.com

If you still have issues after that 72h timeframe, reach out to GoDaddy support for help since they’re still the domain registrar on record.

Let us know if you still have trouble!
