Soaring search hits on not really relevant term

  My blog has been getting a steadily climbing number of hits from a single search term, “cats”. Is anyone having a similar thing happening to them? There is nothing really remarkable about cats on my blog. No posts are being hit up any more than usual. Just really curious.

  Note to myself: Add the tag ‘cat’ to some random posts.

  No I haven’t received any hits from any tag just yet.

  The search engines are a fickle lot. You would not believe some of the search terms that get people to my blog. They make absolutely no sense.

  There are a few people in different threads posting similar findings. No idea what’s causing it.

  Am a cat and dog lover just starting out. Have site catanddogvideos.webs.com for pet lovers to look at. Any assistance with tags etc would be great as am doing something I love, e.g. my cat and dog (i.e. “the white lion” and “the garden destroyer”!

  @jk6199 – catanddogvideos.webs.com is not a wordpres.com blog. You need to be at wordpress.org/support. A sticky at the top of the forum explains the differences between the two wordpresses.
