  There is a ‘New’ field on the home page that scrolls the title of the page you are on. How do I change this text? I want to show current news.

  I think you may be in the wrong forum. The Social Care Lite theme is available on WordPress.org which is a self-hosted version of WordPress. This forum assists users with WordPress.com hosted websites. You can learn more about the differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
