Social Icons block widgets for websites

  Is there a way to upload icons for use in the Social Media Block, to update widget icons that are not represented in the current lineup?

  Some of the sites I use for streaming music do not have icons in WordPress. I would like to add links to things like TIDAL & Apple Music. As it stands, both websites have to be linked as a URL link icon, which impacts the style of the site. If I could replace those links with an icon for Tidal and an icon for Apple through HTML, I’d be grateful!

  Hi @bobtwriter,

  Unfortunately, WordPress.com’s Social Icons block doesn’t allow custom icon uploads, you can only use the icons already available.

  Your options:

  1. Keep using the Link icon (current method, but generic)
  2. Custom HTML (requires Business plan or higher):
     • Use Custom HTML block with Font Awesome or SVG icons
     • Guide: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/custom-html-block/
  3. Upload icon images:
     • Use Image blocks with your Tidal/Apple Music icons
     • Link each image to your profile
  4. Request the feature:
     • Submit at: https://wordpress.com/help/contact
     • Ask them to add Tidal and Apple Music icons

  If you’re looking to add another icon, instead of the generic link button, I would suggest adding images of the icons instead, then you can link them by following the steps in this support guide: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/link-image/#add-a-link-to-an-image.
