social icons misshaped
-
My website uses the Hemingway theme, but when I use the social icons block, the icons do not appear round on the website like they do when I’m editing the widget. They instead appear oblong, like the sides are missing with the icon parts (by which I mean the social media icons rather than the colored backgrounds) at the bottom rather than in the middle. If I change them to pill shape, then they appear round, but the images are still not centered in the icons. Why is this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! It looks like this is due to some old CSS code which was likely set up for Hemingway Rewritten before the Social Icons block came into existence. I can definitely replicate this on a test site and will need to submit a bug report to see if we can get it updated, but I don’t have any information regarding when a fix could be implemented unfortunately.
I haven’t really been able to find any good workaround for it using the Social Links block unfortunately; at the moment it looks like the quickest workaround would just be to change theme, although I do understand if you prefer not to do that!
Another alternative (though which takes more work) could be to set up a gallery of images, where the images are the logos of your chosen social media and each image can be linked to your relevant page on that network.

Thanks for looking at this for me. I would greatly appreciate it if a bug report was submitted. I considered perhaps an alternate theme, though I haven’t been able to see one that leaps out at me.
I think there was a previous incarnation of the social media icons that didn’t have this problem, where they were icon images that were all the same color (which color would depend on the color scheme chosen). Just felt I should mention it in case it was relevant.
Do you have any recommendations of where I could find free logo images/buttons to use?

Hi there,
We have reported this issue to our developers so they can take a closer look, but due to the fact that this is an older theme it may be some time until it is addressed.
With this in mind I have added CSS to your site to resolve the issue for now (the social links in your sidebar appear correctly) and you can see the code I have added to your site here.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
