Social Icons Widget – opening in a new tab /window
-
I am trying to make the widget open social media site in a new tab / window instead of the same. It seems intuitive to me that somebody browsing the blog will want to stay on the site and check the social media in a new tab. As you are supposed to input only the link and not html code, the usual ‘switch’ target=’-blank’ doesn’t seem to work
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Take a look at https://en.support.wordpress.com/advanced-menu-settings/ to enable “Link Target” for your menu items.
